Welcome back! We hope that you really took our advice in the first part of this series to heart. If you think you’re ready to buy your significant other an engagement ring, don’t do so without reading the final segment of this two part series! So let’s jump right back into tips for purchasing the perfect engagement ring…

Thinking About Engagement Bands (part 2): You might have a metal in mind for the band, but did you also know that bands can have gemstones in them, too? If this is something you’re considering, it’s best to have these smaller stones be all diamonds. Even if the large stone set in the ring is something other than a diamond, choosing something like sapphires on the band with a sapphire center could be too overwhelming. While this pertains more to style than anything, it’s generally a safe rule to follow if you’re unsure of what kind of stones to put on the band. At Stewart Kuper Jewelers, we are more than happy to speak with you about additional options.

Set a Price Limit: While there really isn’t a price you can put on love, you won’t want to overspend on an engagement ring when you’ll have to be paying for a wedding ring and a wedding. With that in mind, set a budget for how much you’d be willing to spend on a ring. Some important advice we can tell you is that rather than purchasing an estate ring or ring that you see finished in a case, focus on buying a loose stone and band separately. The stone itself will easily be the most expensive part of the ring as a whole, so buying the two separate can save you money that you can put towards other parts of your future.

So if you’re about to propose to your partner, be sure to keep these tips in mind!

At Stewart Kuper Jewelers, we strive to not only provide you with top quality engagement rings and stones, but to also make the process of purchasing an engagement ring memorable and stress-free. Stop by today to speak with one of our experts before you make a purchase.
